Never liked the show as a kid. What is it?
It's a Morpher, a little piece of tech that lets the wielder change into Ranger mode.
Without one, Rangers can't access the Morph Grid to use Morph Energy to morph. Fun fact, in one Sentai series, they actually used the explosions("excess morph energy") to take out some of the generic baddies!
I think it's also technically the keys to their giant robots?
They have to say "It's Morphin Time!" when using it as well.
You know, I could actually believe that. It just seems plausible enough for this scenario.

You know, it makes a lot of sense now where the phrase "its morbin' time" got its origin. Boy do they say it a lot. Never watched power rangers so it is a weird thing to see this video.
