DS1 and DS2 are utter trash by modern standards. They live on as foundational to the genre, but trying to go back and play them these days is asking for a headache.

DS3 is fantastic and and has the most similar gameplay to Elden Ring. Bloodborne and Sekiro remain some of the finest games ever made and deserve 4k remasters already.

Lastly I do think the Demon Souls Remake is probably the best remake I've ever played of any game, but the gameplay is stiff and restrictive like DS1/2.
