Ive spent the last week in shock at the lack of moderation because magazines and federated stuff is only moderated by @ernest who I know is busy with development. But the magazines that are on kbin.social and were setup as "Template" magazines are getting trashed either with spam/porn or toxic comments that were reported long before they were removed. just today tech, open-source has porn on it .

Like I said I get you are busy so maybe delegate it to some people that can look after the place ? Whilst you work on kbin. I look after the magazines I run and I also run a mastodon instance. Speaking Of im also looking forward to IP banning or being able to report persistent ban evaders.

ummm i think you are a bit confused.

for example: https://kbin.social/m/[email protected] does in fact identify @ernest as the admin.

however if you visit it at the home instance https://lemmy.ml/c/firefox you will see the actual mod is https://lemmy.ml/u/k_o_t

Here is an issue in the kbin repo related to this: https://codeberg.org/Kbin/kbin-core/issues/223

I think there might be a more comprehensive issue elsewhere.

2 Things there. I was mainly talking about the kbin.social template magazines like tech or opensource but also
The other problem is that reports from kbin are not getting to other instances AFAIK so we must self moderate other instances that appear on here
I do the same for my mastodon instance. I see a user doing something against the rules via another instance their federated profile is limited or suspended from my own instance
