I'm not too familiar with these characters and this series, but I understand André Franquin originally created a marsupilami character as part of his work on Spirou, then took the rights with him when he left, spinning them in to a new series of the same name. After his death, other creators worked on a new volume of series, such as Batem, as seen above. [Lambiek]

Note their incredibly long tails, which are like a super-powered fifth limb. I kind of wish I had one of those, as silly as it might look.

there is evidently a new marsupilami series called ‘La Bête

I had no idea! The drawing style looks really good

However, I have to get used to the serious and more mature keynote, because for me Marsupilami is a childhood memory defined by being light and wholesome.

Sweet satisfaction!

Yeah, makes total sense. I also like the drawing style, as it looks amazingly like an animal that should really exist, like a cross between spotted hyena and some kind of monkey.

Btw, I like the image compositions you make, such as above. Are you using a tool to do that? I have another post to make in which I need to line up 5-6 images in to a single image, and doing it by hand in GIMP would be a pain.

I´m embarrassed to tell you but the image I posted above is one image file that a one minute search brought up and I know nothing about making image compositions.

Oof, I tried searching for "online composition tools," but they all seem to be meant for stitching together panorama photos to produce a larger panorama photo.

Finally I hit on searching for "online gallery image tool" which led me to this one. Good enough!

I tested it with random images. That´s definitely good enough for me. Thank you for the hint, might come in handy.
