Okay, it's beastly hot out, and my kids basically insist on ice cream daily in weather like this.

I'm weak, and prone to giving in. But... I don't want just the same old thing. I'm sick of Prince Puckler's, I've had it with overpriced MoC gelato, I'm not a fan of the big chain places (like Coldstone)...

Surprise me. Help me find an ice cream place that's both delicious and off the beaten path.

Dari mart has good lochmead ice cream for $1 for a small cup. Great for easy kid pleasers. Handel’s is alright, but I still like Prince Puckler’s for the localness. I thought Handel’s was from PDX, but it’s actually from Ohio.
