Firefox kind of sucks in android though and there are no good forks imo, but this is also true for chromium so idk what to do.

What sucks about Firefox for Android? It's been nothing but good to me for years.

It seems quite a bit slower, tbh. I'm a steadfast Firefox mobile user for several years now, it's gotten better.

Chromium is definitely faster, but I don't care. Firefox respects my privacy and has actually useful add-ons.

I'll take the speed penalty if it means never seeing malicious ads.

Yep. You just get used to it. Also, I'm still on a pixel 3 so.. processing power etc might've come quite a ways since.

Cromite is a hardened chromium fork, replaced Bromite last year.

I use Fennec for what its worth, dunno if you have tried that. Its... Imperfect, for sure.
