Playing around with xVAsynth 2.0 a while back I wanted to test the voice synthesizer with a longer piece to see if if it could create a "polished voice" compared to the short and rather robotic examples the app creator offered.

There's unreasonable amounts of work required to make it sound as natural and dynamic as this, every single breath behind every single syllable have to be "animated" so it's not sustainable to use it "at that level" for larger projects in my opinion. I'm pretty happy with the results though, it sounds around 80-90% "right" - And that's pretty good.

I know this isn’t the point of the post, but I really like the way the video is edited.

Last year I started a playthrough of the Witcher series since I hadn’t played the first before. This year after finishing I finally got around to focusing on Cyberpunk. Bugs and forgotten promises aside, one thing is clear about CDPR’s skills and that is they have always been masters at developing engrossing and immersive atmospheres.

Thanks! CDPR's Night City is great for creating videos (in a lot of different styles), there's so many sights to see. Even the billboards can be strikingly beautiful in it's corporate nightmare vulgarity. Great for trying out narrative voice overs.
