(We are in the middle of a Flyer Derby game. Willow is flying on her staff, holding a light purple flag, looking back with a self-satisfied smirk. Behind her is another witch on her staff reaching out with an upset expression)

(Viney is flying on her staff, with her fist raised triumphantly. There is a motion blur behind her where she just placed a light purple flag on a post with two others. Willow is at the bottom of the frame raising both arms and cheering. Skara is also in the foreground with a smile. Another witch is above them, covering their ears with their hands)

Panel 3

(Gus is standing on his staff and reaching out with a light purple flag. Hunter is just ahead of him, flying on his staff, and reaching back to grab the flag from Gus)

Panel 4

(Close in on Hunter, reaching forward with a determined expression, holding the flag out. Just in front of him, we can just see Willow's hand reaching back into the frame)

(In the stands, we see a large group of cheering fans. Front and center are Boscha, Amity, Luz, Vee in her basilisk form, and Mattholomule. Boscha is the only one not visibly cheering, she has a bored look on her face)

(Close-up on the scoreboard. At the top it reads HEXSIDE. Displayed on the board is a portion of a tournament bracket. At the top is the Emerald Entrails logo and team name, with a green line leading to the right, and a green checkmark. Below them is a logo with a bent hand, and the name Shadow Hands beside it. These are on a red line leading to the right with a red X symbol)

(We are now out in the streets of Bonesborough. Hunter and Willow are in the foreground, smiling and waving behind them. On the right side of the panel, Mattholomule, Skara, and Viney are waving and pointing finger guns)

(Wide of with Boscha, Willow, Luz, Amity, and Vee walking beside each other, with Gus and Hunter trailing just behind them. Luz and Amity are looking over towards Willow, who is looking back)

Luz: That was awesome!

Panel 2

(Closer in on just Willow, grinning and gesturing with her hand)

Willow: It doesn't get easier from here, though.

(Willow pauses with wide open eyes. On the very edge of the panel we can see the edge of Boscha next to her)

Boscha (off-panel): Yeah, don't get cocky.

Panel 4

(Boscha is walking with a disinterested look, eyes closed, with a plain blue background)

Boscha: Your performance was fine,

            But your speed obviously needs work.

Panel 5

(Side profile of Boscha with a pompous expression)

Boscha: No offense,

Panel 6

(Willow has a very annoyed expression)

Boscha (off-panel): You are slowing the whole team down.

Panel 7

Willow (eyes narrowed): You got a lot to say for someone who doesn't even play Flyer Derby.

(Boscha is rolling her eyes, hand in her pocket)

Boscha: Listen, if you wanna win-

Panel 2

Willow (off-panel): Winning isn't everything, Boscha.

Boscha (dismissive): Right.

Panel 3

(Boscha turns and leans in towards Willow)

Boscha: Then why don't you just lose the next game on purpose?

Willow: [SIGH]

Panel 4

(Luz, Amity, and Vee are looking over with uneasy expressions)

Willow (off-panel): I'm not debating you on this.

Panel 5

(Luz turns her head and whispers behind the back of her hand)

Luz: I thought they were friends now? It's not much different than before.

Amity: Beats me.

Panel 6

(Luz and Amity both turn to look at Vee)

Vee: Well, character arcs take time. Some take longer than others.

(Vee looks up to the side with a pondering expression)

Vee: Knowing Boscha, I'd say hers is gonna take...

Vee (looking back over): ...Decades to work out, I guess?

Panel 3

(Wider shot of Luz and Amity staring at Vee with blank expressions. Vee looks back at them with the same. Their eyes are all drawn as small black dots. Out of focus in the background we see Gus and Hunter)

Vee: What?

Panel 5

(Closer in on just Gus and Hunter. They are smiling and laughing. Hunter has an orange towel hanging around his neck that he is holding on to. Waffles is resting on the top of his head)

(Panel of just Hunter with a startled expression on his face)

Panel 7

(Wider shot of the street from behind the group. Hunter is turned around looking anxious. Gus has a concerned expression on his face)

Gus: Is something wrong?

(Wide shot of the street behind Hunter, still looking back. We see a few random unfamiliar demons and witches walking, none seem to be acting suspiciously)

(Hunter still has a hesitant expression)

Hunter: I felt like I was being watched.

Panel 3

(Shot from behind the group with Hunter and Gus walking away, not looking back)

Hunter: Meh, false alarm.

Panel 4

(Wide shot of the mostly empty street, with Hunter and Gus at a distance almost off the frame. On the opposite side of the panel, beside a wall, we see the back of someone's head. They have a full head of gray hair and a pointed witch ear sticking out, with a light skin tone)

Panel 5

(Hiding around the edge of the corner of a wall, we see the front side of the mysterious stranger. They have a big bushy beard and a large moustache, and what we can see of the skin on their face has large scars similar to Hunter's. They have a nondescript tan cloak on, and their eyes are narrowed with a suspicious expression. Their pupils appear to be the same purple as a grimwalker)
