They are copying the things "the adults in the room" are saying because if you tell yourself you agree with the things that are happening in the world beyond your control, it feels less like you are powerless. I like to think its a coping mechanism for powerless people. At least i hope so, and that most of the people i see just bloodlessly and coldly disregarding human life arent doing so knowingly....

Maybe that's my own cope talking

It’s impossible to cut through the dissonance, they have to do that themselves. We can only make obvious the contradictions. Great name btw.
