  1. Be excellent to each other. Civility, No Racism, No Bigotry, No Slurs, No calls to violences, No namecalling, All that good stuff, follow lemm.ee's rules, follow the rules of your instance, etc.

  2. We are a Pro-Conservative forum. Posts must have a clear pro-conservative, or anti left-wing bias. We are interested in promoting conservatism and discussing things that might get ignored elsewhere. All sources are acceptable, however reputable sources with a reputation for factual reporting are preferred.

  3. Dissent is allowed in the comments, but try to be constructive; if you do not agree, then provide a reason which is backed up by references or a reasonable alternative interpretation of the provided facts. That means the left wing is welcome to state their opinions, but please keep it in good faith.

A polite request, not a rule, if you feel the need to report a comment, please don't reply to it.

MODERATORS

We are a nation of rules and the rules are boring. Embrace that. In times of difficulty, go with the boring option. When faced with a frightening crisis, tamp it down with ultra-boring moves. No matter what, stick with the rules.

I can’t avoid talking about Donald Trump but I’m going to make it brief. I know you don’t like him; neither do I. But let’s assume he’s only a politician. He’s not Hitler, Godzilla or the Beast of the Apocalypse—just a guy with a loud mouth and a desperate need for attention. Most Americans think of him that way.

This is not about him. It’s about you.

When you demonize those who disagree with you, you invite treatment in kind.

That's funny, because people around here have used the r slur against me multiple times despite me never using it.

And statements like this fail to understand that there is often legitimate reason to demonize someone you disagree with. For instance, overthrowing democracy in Germany got Hitler demonize, and rightfully so. You don't get to get off scott free from criminal allegations just because of some hope of playing nice in politics.

Please report anyone using the r-slur. It's one of the few things I will just remove immediately.

What about users whose name contains Hitler and makes fun of rape. Is that cool too, my lord? Or is it mein fuhrer?

[–] [email protected] -1 points 8 months ago (1 children)

Its vulgar, sure, but imo not really a reason to do much of anything about. And Im not a lord or leader or a fuhrer. I'm a random guy who made a community and started posting stuff. That's what I am.

Ok cool just making sure we have a precedence of you approving “Hitler” as vulgar, but “not really a reason to do much of anything about it”

Later, Hitler.

I dont understand what just happened, but ok.

Just try to avoid namecalling, alright?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 8 months ago

I mean, I won’t call you a N-word (not the racist one, the one synonymous with conservatives) loving hypocrite, but since you’re down for Hitler—apparently there is a difference—I’ll stick to that.

I'm aware you will. But that's not the point I was trying to get across.

My point is that this writer is saying "you get treated how you treat others, so democrats don't be rude", but no matter what I do I am met with insult.
