if you take a look at his other videos, you can see that he is obsessed by edge retention, sharpness, hardness &c… all the things only "knife people" care about.

i think that he too is serious and he is making fun of all this seriousness. He makes a 15 minute video about negligible details and he always adds a moment where he makes fun of the subject itself.
