Advice for mending/repairing holes along seams in pants? (lemm.ee)

Despite trying different fits and brands of pants, I keep running into the problem of them eventually getting holes in them, typically around the seams of the crotch where of course you least want them. The rest of the pants are generally fine, so it feels like a waste to toss them, but I'm not sure how well one might be able to fix such holes right along seams...

Any guidance on this? Thanks in advance!

Patch it ? You can sacrifice one pant to donate patch material to save the others.
I find doing it by hand is easiest, as wrestling the pants under the machine is tricky. If you want a less visible mend, you can put the patch behind the broken fabric, at the cost of durability.
Press on patches also exist and seems to work fine, I don't have a lot of experience with it though.

One recommandation for patches in general, is to cover a much bigger area than the hole, otherwise you might have to redo it very soon.

Silver lining given the location of the hole, seeing the mend shouldn't be too much of a concern! 😅
