In the few motion sensitive friends of mine, all of them usually prefer to decrease the FOV, not increase it. Do you generally prefer high FOV? Doesn't that make the edges of the screen seem like they're moving even faster?

I need to widen it as much as possible, which is why I defaulted to increase, because you increase your Field of Vision. Putting me close to the character makes the game instantly unplayable as it moves too fast and tunnels. I cannot play any first person game for this reason. First person games in buildings or corridors are especially bad. Most resources online will tell you to increase as well.
