I can't figure out port-forwarding which I assume is affecting my ratio. So I don't even try to get invited to private trackers
You shouldn't really have to. It's all done by the application unless you sit behind a firewall or your systems firewall is on and super secure. Normally I never have to do anything for the port ranges it has setup to communicate with other peers. Port forwarding would be if I want to access the application outside my network, but I have no need for that. Plus it sounds more of a risk than it's worth.
