How to get my friends to try DRG ? (lemmy.world)

Most of my friends play FPS games like Valorant, Apex, CSGO, etc.. Recently everyone has been into some chill co-op games like Borderlands and Payday so I suggested DRG but none of them seems to like it.

They have this misconception that, the game is just entirely mining and no shooting.

Little do they know, I'm having a blast with fun mods and randoms.

Right now DRG is even on steam sale..

I'd love to know how you guys got your friends to give DRG a chance

I mean if the reason they won't try it is "no shooting", then it seems like an easy fix. Tell them it's all shooting and show them a clip to demonstrate.

If the real reason is that they already play a ton of other similar games that they're having fun with and don't feel the need to add one more, sadly you can't force people to love what you love, just keep it in your back pocket for next time they're looking for something new.
