chained ogre was quite the filter

i triet twice to get into the game but bounced of him.

i thought he was one of those 'come back later when youre stronger' bosses and thought i just couldnt find the actual way forward.

on my third try i knew he was the correct direction, and im made it to the fight with owl before i quit

You can get the flame vent before you fight him, which makes that battle much easier. Though you have to find the Hirata Estate memory first, and it's not that obvious.

In theory, there are a couple of things hinting towards the ogre being susceptible to fire damage. But it is missable entirely, true

Owl is a major hurdle after Genichiro, true. He is quite tanky, can negate a bunch of strategies, has a really strong phase 2...

There is a rather easy cheese for him iirc, though. If you alternate your attacks with his attacks, you can essentially just trade blows one after another, leading to a posture break and a kill. He won't do anything else but attack (no shinobi shenanigans).

It is a little annoying and mind-numbing to do, but if nothing else works, give it a go. There's still a bunch of amazing areas and bosses waiting for you. :) ✨

The drunk samurai guy and lady butterfly have been my filters, also the shinobi dude in the "hidden" are of the memory. Chained ogre, dude on a horse, other samurai, monks, etc I'm fine with. I just can't dodge well in the memory I guess.

By dodge, do you mean parry? Not trying to state the obvious, so sorry if you know, but parrying/deflecting is the way to go in Sekiro. There are only very few moves in the game where you want to dodge instead of deflecting

Also, I feel you. The drunk made me rage quit a few times too lol
