For anyone that is contemplating surgical treatment for spinal pain or knows any friends or family in the situation, last nights four corners is a must watch.

Doctors are not gods and all advice should be treated with skepticism, especially when a lot of money is going to be made and ESPECIALLY when your spine is involved.

That's why I'm so careful, I let practically no one touch me other than doctors .

Plenty of doctors I wouldn't trust either tbh.

The best advice I've had, from neurosurgeons, I still follow, which was "rest", stay in bed

unfortunately I didn't have a long enough consultation to learn how to avoid back pain

that I had to find myself by noting patterns of my behaviour

Got offered a steroid epidural. Chose not to in the end, was mostly better by that point.
