I hate that our societies are so superficial. It's a huge advantage to look good. Its like a superpower that some people have. And it's really unfair, because it gives them literally all the best things in life with no effort.
That being said, I think gene manipulation will allow parents to make their kid good looking in the future, so everyone will be good looking.
Rich people will have good looking kids.
Personality goes a long way
I mean, there's sober ugly people too. And rich alcoholics. If rich kids are prettier it's probably down to cosmetic medicine.
Unfortunately it is a part of evolution to avoid the sick, disabled and ugly. It is very hard to make millions of people work against their instincts, but I think we are generally headed in a good direction.
