Who else here hasn't been on reddit at all since the strike? Without Infinity I really don't care to use reddit at all. I've been on .world since 1.21k total users. I'm on beehaw, and helping testing on enterprise 18-beta. Steve is just another rich idiot to me.

I'll be honest, I miss a lot of my niche communities. I recognize it takes time and patience to grow them, even more so if you dont wanna kickstart them on a new platform yourself.
That being said, I definitely have not logged in since June 12th and I'm not looking back. This is a fresh opportunity and something new for a change.
There are new things to appreciate. I miss and created a couple communities here. The trolls and lack of positivity have come to kinda suck more than when this was less than 10k total users. I joined beehaw after they defederated and love it.
The Google searches are going to be the most painful part for me, followed by the loss of a lot of the speciality hobbyist subs.
Wish Infinity had plans for lemmy
He has a habit of acting like a little bitch. I'm surprised people put up with it for so long.
Not gonna lie, I got pretty nostalgic while reading this great write-up. I had a really, really great time on reddit (9 years, nearly 1m karma) and I'm quite sad to see it go down like this. It's truly an era that is ending here. There's only one thing left to say: Fuck /u/spez!
