Maybe we should try to prevent the disaster we are causing instead of watching?

I'm binging on Resident Alien and all I can think of is how tragic it is that his ship crash landed. One single pulse and in seconds all humans on Earth disintegrate without knowing it? Cool. The only reason I oppose it is the fact that dogs would have a miserable death and I ain't having that.
