We all know the second season of Netflix's Altered Carbon series was terrible, but Netflix also made an anime movie called Altered Carbon: Resleeved which is completely unrelated to the show. It isn't the best cyberpunk anime ever made but it's still worth watching.

Man, I had such high hopes for Anthony Mackie. He's been great in everything else. Can't out-act bad writing, though.

Yep, definitely wasn't Anthony Mackie's fault. The first season did a great job following the book up until the last 2 or 3 episodes where they went off on their own. Then the second season decided to completely ignore the source material and just make up a story in that world. It didn't work out.

But still, the Resleeved anime has nothing to do with the live action show and I think it's worth watching.

Huh, I thought he was pretty bad. Maybe it was the writing but he wasn’t convincing

Not to mention they ruined the setup out of the gate, making the Envoys a part of Quell's forces instead of the Protectorate. Made sure they couldn't use the next two books. The producer didn't have any faith the work could be successful, so didn't care what she changed.

I can confirm both. I'm quite fond of Resleeved and rewatch it occasionally.

Reesleved is pretty good. It's definitely worth the watch

I started watching it, but it immediately started a standard anime magical girl trope and I noped out of it.
