Measuring Cicada pee, that’s how.
Didn't forget about the military applications of cicada urination. It's not like the research is just frivolous.

Headlines are meant to get attention and this one does that. What you're saying is absolutely true though. There's an incredible amount of weird and horrifying stuff that happens in the animal kingdom. Humans included...

Man, you gotta be careful with these things. The NIST is liable to see that and declare the “single cicada piss stream” as the new unit of measurement to replace the already rather Victorian “inHg”.
I prefer to measure by banana. This case calls for purified banana units.
