I'm using the Mullvad desktop client on Linux. My particular use case is such that I'd prefer to use custom DNS, provided that my DNS traffic is encrypted.
If you navigate to "Settings > VPN Settings > Use custom DNS server", there's a field to enter the IP address of a public DNS server, such as Cloudflare's 1.1.1.1.
If I enter Cloudflare's IP address into that field in the Mullvad app, is my DNS traffic then being routed using unencrypted DNS over port 53, or is it using encrypted DNS-over-HTTPS over port 443?
