I've got some comments I'd like to delete, but due to them being in threads that were deleted, I am unable to remove them from my profile. Clicking on them in my profile (which is necessary to delete comments) leads to an error screen since the thread doesn't exist anymore.

Could we put a menu on comments in the profile page to delete without going to the thread?

For the curious, the comments are nothing inflammatory or inappropriate, but they remind me of the inflammatory or inappropriate threads they were in, and I'd like to move on.

Isn't this a limitation of Lemmy software and not the Lemmy client itself? Because I've seen this myself and I'm using Sync.

I'm not sure, I've only used Connect so far.

Maybe a way to hide them would be fine too?

I think there used to be a bug in Lemmy where deleting a parent comment deleted or hid all the child comments, but this bug has since been fixed. Is it possible that Connect is still behaving like the old version?

In Jerboa, clicking on a comment on a now deleted post gives an error, but looking at it in my profile the three dots are there, and I can still remove or even edit it.
