Sorry, we can't afford all those hospitals and houses and daycares and schools. We don't have any money!

(Hands bags of cash to an industry that's already profitable)

*to an industry who creates serious health complications that raise the costs of hospitals.

Ontario is spending a ton on health care….but it’s building private practices and hiring private staff in our hospitals

When Harper was still in power, the Canadian government had a deal where the oil companies would get subsidized until the oil sands were profitable.
So Canada was giving the oil companies billions.
I'm putting on my tinfoil hat now.
Trudeau rushed to buy the pipeline when it was canceled. Is that because the oil sands can't be profitable without the pipeline, and this deal is bleeding Canada dry?
I just thought of this now, I'd love some criticism if anyone's got some.

Well... Yeah. Between that and the housing market, what else is running Canada's economy? Telecom and grocery monopolies? Our economy is not great...

Thats why the money should be used to invest and diversify not help oil baron hoard even more wealth.

Do you think, just maybe, our politicians have some skin in this game and that they might stand to gain something from throwing billions into oil and gas?
