No opinion pieces, Listicles, editorials or celebrity gossip is allowed. All posts will be judged on a case-by-case basis.
7. No duplicate posts.
If a source you used was already posted by someone else, the autoMod will leave a message. Please remove your post if the autoMod is correct. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.
8. Misinformation is prohibited.
Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.
9. No link shorteners.
The auto mod will contact you if a link shortener is detected, please delete your post if they are right.
10. Don't copy entire article in your post body
For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

Folks like Motte and Ortiz have to drill it into their heads that corporations will not give them anything they're not forced to give. And that the way to force them is a union. People have to snap out of the delusion that if they work hard, their employer will give them what they deserve.

Saying this on Reddit or Twitter is a great way to get your account suspended.
'Cause racism, sexism and harassment are a-ok, but suggest that the rich would behave better if they were afraid instead of contemptuous and you're in the penalty box.
It depends. Without systemic changes to prevent a new set of people from just grabbing everything up, in a short time we're right back here in garbage land. We need forceful collective changes with safeguards placed for the future.

There’s generally no need for self-censorship here because there is no single entity or business that controls this platform. Lemmy taken as a whole has no commercial or political interest. There’s no advertisers to disappoint with controversial content. It’s is a loose federation of many instances and communities paid for by the people who use it.

And that $0.37 raise is on the high end for Target. The lowest is $0.10, and a certain percentage of employees have to get the lowest - so Target is literally nickel and dimeing some of their hardest workers.
Target is just Walmart in a Gucci-inspired belt.
