Further, in this article it states that a separate peer-reviewed study found that in fact fossil fuels are still used for 82% of energy generation and that the 30% number was pulled out of someone's ass from what I can tell. And for the 30% number they're saying 16% is from hydropower and then the other 14% is 7% wind 7% solar. Somehow this math doesn't add up to me. I realize this is uplifting news and I'm not trying to be a Debbie Downer here, but I would like factually sourced articles.

It found that renewables have grown from 19% of electricity in 2000 to more than 30% of global electricity last year.>

I'm glad green energy is growing but this is too slow, 11percent increase in nearly 25 years, pathetic Yeah leaders obviously don't give a shit about this planet. I bet the growth is mostly China (there giant solar farms) and areas were green is cheaper

Did you not look at the graph?! Renewables are exploding. You're looking at 24-years. Look again, since 2019.
