Anime characters who are the object of worship in the church of belly!

  1. Posts must feature "midriff moe". That is, anime characters with visible midriff. That's all.
  2. No nudity. Lewd art is fine, but mark it NSFW.
  3. If posting a more suggestive piece, or one with simply a lot of skin, consider still marking it NSFW.
  4. Include a link to the artist in post body, if you can.
  5. AI Generated content is not allowed.
  6. Positivity only. No shitting on the art, the artists, or the fans of the art/artist.
  7. Finally, all rules of the parent instance still apply, of course.

SauceNao can be used to effectively reverse search the creator of a piece, if you do not know it.

You may also leave the post body blank or mention @[email protected], in which case the bot will attempt to find and provide the source in a comment.

You ever find art, that when you look at, is so weirdly appealing that the knowledge it isn't real causes an uncomfortable knot of mild anxiety?

This does that for me. For some reason.

I really like midriffs.

So, for myself I often feel envy and desire clash. Like I wish so much that I could be as beautiful and perpetually youthful as all these lovely waifus. To live their lives and have the freedom to explore their worlds. *Mind you there are characters and stories that I enjoy where i would want to keep certain elements cemented in fantasy.

There is a juxtaposition between comfortable and uncomfortable as it being not real is that fantasy is not cemented in reality, so you're free to imagine a fantasy life. But also, you know you will never truly have it and must experience it all through a medium.
