Anyone know of a place around town that does reel mower sharpening? Austin Outdoor Power website says they no longer offer it. I have a kit but I don’t want to deal with doing it myself if I don’t have to. Thanks for any leads.

might check local tool libraries for help - we stock them in ours (here in Seattle) and I'd be happy to help show someone how to do it during our open hours.

Not quite Austin, but Pro Sharpening Supply in Bastrop are good people.

I don't have any leads, but it's really easy to do yourself. I just did my first time ever a couple months ago for this season of mowing.

If you don't find what you're looking for, don't sweat the effort required. Took me about an hour with zero experience, and it would probably take me about 30min this next time. Just be really careful you don't lose the pawl in the axle for the blades (you need it in place to make the crank work), and pay attention to its orientation in case it falls out by accident.
