I tried to use bing chat but it tried to make me download edge or something like that and I lost interest.

A simple useragent switch works (or browser extension). I consider it more useful than GPT-3.5-turbo and a bit less useful than GPT-4 browsing.

It's more that Google maintains search brand recognition.

Let's be real, "google it" has become about the same thing as "fuck off" because it's half useless
