I refuse to believe that corporate bad faith argument that "researchers" just recently exposed those security flaws. The moment some overpaid idiot in a suit put that stupid idea on a white board there must have been a deluge of objections from anyone in the company with an IQ above room temperature. They just chose to ignore them until they realized how bad the backlash turned out to be.
