Gooey butter cake is essentially my signature dish. Saw a strawberry gooey butter cake at Schnuks when i visited my aunt in St. Louis Memorial day weekend and knew i had to try one with blackberry. The only thing i wpuld have done differently is used some gelatin in the blackberry syrup to thicken it up a little.
