It looks like Party Limit Begone is the only active one right now. I haven’t tried it in multiplayer myself (though that is supported up to 8 players), but something to note is that unlike in DOS2, there are some clear moments in the game where a party larger than 4 will break things; this can be handled easily enough in single player through sending people back to camp, but I don’t know how that would work in a multiplayer game. Also, because BG3 is gonna be receiving regular updates, your campaign will break until the mod author updates each time.

And yes, if you want challenging combat 7 people will make Balanced too easy

It seemed all the mods for it wouldn't do what I wanted. Got it working with this https://www.mediafire.com/file/4o3imoykr1pfamf/bg3-console-release.zip/file (goes in bin).

Which gives you a console, and then typing these commands while in camp let me recruit more people.

Replace 6 with preferred party size. I'm playing 2 player with my partner and now we each can take 2 people with each of us, which was my aim. Works great. Doesn't feel op, though we considered switching to tactician we ended up staying balanced. We still get plenty of close calls.

Crashed once so far, when doing a Gale thing and he wasn't #1 slot in my party, so when I reloaded I temp left my 2nd party member at camp and then reinvited them after the dialogue. So it seems you only have to do it once and the limit is saved, because I didn't have to put the code in again.

I'm playing with party limit begone on tactician its not that hard. Some fights are pretty trivial, but in my normal game with 4 people, plenty of fights are trivial so idk

You might need to add something like Tactician Plus to keep the fights engaging.

In multiplayer of 3 we got to a party of 5 with the base game. I'm sure you can natively go to 6. We went for 3 because one of us was afraid it'd be too easy.

This means the game nativeoy support a party of 5 or 6. Does it allow it for 1 or 2 players and how is the question.
