Entitled? According to law? No. Bad luck, unless they advertised it to you in such a way that you had reason to believe there would be no sales.

But you might be able to get one from HN anyway, because companies can give returns above and beyond the Australian Consumer Law, if they want. Unfortunately HN's returns policy doesn't seem to include any refunds for change of mind or change in price. But you could always contact their customer service and ask.

Yes fuck Harvey Norman and especially Gerry. Just want these boomers like Murdoch, Gerry to die asap. These people and their family should deported from Australia for fucking every working class family in the ass.

In future, check OzBargain before buying electronics. There's been a bunch of deals on the G84 before the HN deal, and then you wouldn't have had to deal with them in the first place.

But agreed, not a good person or company.

Relevant sections of the ACCC's Consumer Guarantees:

You may not be entitled to a remedy if you:

  • simply change your mind, decide you do not like your purchase or have no use for it
  • discover you can buy the goods or services more cheaply elsewhere (unless the seller guarantees that the goods cannot be purchased more cheaply elsewhere)

Fuck! Pretty pissed that I lost 50 bucks in just 10 days

Ah well, we can't always get everything for the lowest price possible. I bought a Motorola razr 40 at the beginning of this year for $610, thinking it was a bargain second-hand down from the retail price of $999. A few months later the stores were selling it new for $499. It's only a small amount of money in the grand scheme of things so just relax and enjoy the new phone!

Does it have that "vegan leather" back, by the way? I love that texture on my Motorola, feels way better than slippery glass.

Naa I got the dark blue which has plastic back. Hated the red colour.

Fair, I would've done the same if the only option was red.
