In that case, shouldn’t we start with the Law of Hammurabi? I’m pretty sure it’s older and the direct ancestor of Judaic law. It would be chaos, but that’s the truth.

Well in that case, the writings of Zarathustra (10th century BC) might be a good starting point

So I got curious:

Law Timeline: https://www.worldhistory.org/timeline/law/

List of ancient legal codes: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ancient_legal_codes

In this list is the Law of Moses / Torah (10th to 6th century BC)

And it's definitely not the earliest code of law.

Try again Landry.

Will any of the 10 Commandments apply to Trump or are they just going to continue with “the opposite is fine for political purposes”

So that part where God gives laws to Abraham just doesn't count for this guy? He knows better than his creator I guess?

If you want to base your laws off the OG law giver, them I'm proud to introduce you to my boy Hammurabi!

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Code_of_Hammurabi

If a man has a debt lodged against him, and the storm-god Adad devastates his field or a flood sweeps away the crops, or there is no grain grown in the field due to insufficient water—in that year he will not repay grain to his creditor; he shall suspend performance of his contract [literally "wet his clay tablet"] and he will not give interest payments for that year.
