For real though! Sad for all the lost communities and content there, but Reddit as a company can just keep bleeding itself dry! I hope people keep coming over here or Mastadon.

Hey. I guess Lemmy is a good occasion to try something new. No intention of going back.

Hi! Greetings from Kbin! The fact that you can post from Shitjustworks to Pawb, and then we can respond from other sites is fucking awesome. I'm mostly gonna just lurk as that's my thing. Cool sona!

It's too bad that Reddit is going to Run itself into the floor. Hopefully more people will come here since Fediverse platforms will likely be much more stable in the long run compared to centralized platforms which will ultimately try to monetize themselves with the same lack of care and restraint that's ultimately driving Reddit into the floor right now.

As it turns out, for profit motive isn't condusive to making a healthy community. Who could've guessed, huh?

Wow! It's almost like people and their communities don't like being treated as a product! I would have never expected that...

And also don't like being discounted as "Noise" when they speak out against poor treatment.

I find it strange how the second people start making loads of money they forget about what being a human is like

Honestly I don't think Steve Huffman ever really understood what being human is like. He basically was in it for the money from the beginning, Aaron Swartz was the one there who cared about people and about freedom, may he rest in peace.

Steve need to remember the human
