Keep in mind, its a requirement in china iirc that a company must be sued in order for another company to aquire personal data of a user. For instance, if Miohoyo wanted a users information from discord, they would file against discord (even though discord themselves arent actively involved in the case)

Is there precedent for suing users for cheating/griefing in your game. It sounds like it could set one if it's a first.

As far as I know Epic Games were a pioneer of it, by suing 14 year old. Usually they just go after cheat developers since they make profit which is required for most laws to apply.

Looks like they dismissed the claims in 2021 at least

Epic, C.R. and his court-appointed guardian have agreed to dismiss all claims and action
