It's a different virus but still require some attention, which is why the WHO declared mpox virus a public health emergency of international concern.
There's already a vaccine which is great, as long as people have access to it and dedice to get vaccinated. But the current MPOX epidemy demonstrate the current vaccination rate is insufficient.
