I understand SoE had a ton of passion put into it, but I’ll always prefer the simpler maps on release. Maps that I can play with my friends without worrying about them knowing all the steps for everything. On Kino, for example, you spawn in, kill zombies, link teleporters, pack a punch, and repeat. Even Buried did this well with PaP not being too hard to get while also providing great camping and training spots. I also like maps where the box starts in the same spot every time.

I personally find maps with this playstyle more fun than the ones with complex methods to get to PaP, etc... I prefer these styles of maps. I don’t mind having complex large maps but I do wish we got more smaller, simple maps alongside them.

99% of the time I play zombies it’s to sit back, kill zombies, get to a high round, and joke around with friends. This leads me to playing the smaller maps, like Kino, way more than the complex maps like Shadows of Evil. I just wish treyarch catered to casuals as much as they do to hardcore players now.
