The Central Intelligence Agency in the U.S. has started posting online instructions in Farsi, Mandarin and Korean to allow people in authoritarian regimes to safely share information with the agency. One of the posts says a similar effort in Russian in 2023 was effective, and CIA Director William Burns has said Russia’s war in Ukraine has created a “once in a lifetime” opportunity for recruitment.
