We are witnessing, in real time, an expression of how much of humanity is willing to, nay, demands to be enslaved by ideologies.

This is the result of Republicans chipping away at public education for decades. It has resulted in a nation full of idiots.

This is why Trump wants to dismantle the department of education. This is why he loves the uneducated. They don’t know any better.

When a religion is good, I conceive it will support itself; and when it does not support itself, and God does not take care to support it so that its professors are obliged to call for help of the civil power, ‘tis a sign, I apprehend, of its being a bad one.

there are a few industries that could also fit into this. they follow the Church of American Greed and their profits are never "wrong".

As persistent as herpes, these assholes, they will fester and every so often will break out in a social rash, full of itchy boils and pus 'n' shit.

Interesting they made the bible guy black

[–] [email protected] 25 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

Definitely supposed to be white. They drew black people a little different back then.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 2 months ago

They... didn't? Those are some impressive mutton chops, though.

Bro is definitely not supposed to be a Black dude. Lips are too small, he's not coal black, doesn't have crazy eyes, or isn't disheveled. Black people weren't drawn with as much dignity, not even allowed near schools-- at least enough to preach the Bible to a bunch of white kids.

Yeah this meme is racist and nationalist and terrible actually

1, uncle sam is a gross villain, the united states is a slave empire on stolen lands (good luck with that)

2, associating curly hair and dark skin and a big nose with "religion" is a racist attitude whether you intend it to literally be a cartoon of a person of African / Island descent or not, direct association isn't the whole problem there

3, if you think this meme is timeless you are probably getting suckered by other sneaky rightwing shit on here, who is posting it? wow, 7 or 8 accounts?
