Yes the Eagles had the better pass rush. But as this article points out the Chiefs had the second best sack rate behind them and only 1 less post season sack this year.

My understanding is that the different types of pass rush were affected differently. The Eagles use their edge a lot which requires a lot of bend and agility, which the playing surface hindered. The Chiefs got a lot of pressure and sacks from the middle (mainly Chris Jones). That’s mostly power so it wasn’t affected as much.

But what it really comes down to is that shit happens and you have to deal with it. There are tons of factors that can affect one team more than another (weather being the most common one), it’s part of the game. They try to make the Super Bowl as even as possible and there was a mistake here but that doesn’t mean the Chiefs won the Super Bowl any less.

I say this as an Eagles fan. The game was a shootout and I wish the turf was much better than it was because I love seeing aggressive pass rushing, but I also want BG to let it go and move on. I was happy that the team as a whole hasn’t done much excuse making after the game because it doesn’t change anything.

It’s possible to criticize the field without making excuses for your loss, BG. I don’t want the eagles players and fans to sound like their counterparts from SF.

Tried to reply to you but looks like I replied to the whole post still learning here lol

Agreed. It was a great game, the turf was absolutely sub par and can be pointed out just not in an attempt to delegitimize the Chiefs win.

So glad the majority of the Eagles organization and fans have shown great sportsmanship.

I’ve got no qualms minus Juju’s corny ass. That guy sucks

Yeah also agreed. He played well for here but he talks to much for me to want him on the team. Gives way to much bulletin material.

Scathing. But I agree. Crying that the field was crap misses the point that the field was the same for both sides. It's like they expected the trophy to be handed to them.
