Unfortunate that this appears to be taking longer than Apple would have liked, but glad they’re not rushing anything out the door. I remember the big brouhaha in the media over the Intel modems Apple used in some phone variants.

What would be super cool though is if once the modems are good to go, Apple is able to do something akin to Google Fi and provide a better carrier experience and allow automatic switching between partner networks.

The tech media will make a big brouhaha out of anything apple. Remember when they tried making the super faint coil whine on the iphone 7 a thing. They’re vultures looking for clicks.
