Not successfully, mind you.
I just bought wotc for 90%, I really think I should have played ironman, because goddamn, it's easy to load a previous save when a mission goes bad. I'm just too attached to my soilders
Haha, I totally get what you mean. Once I got into ironman, it became the only way I'll play, but I had to get comfortable with scrapping entire runs.
Some people try to play "honestman", which is just committing to not save scumming while playing in normal mode, but I wonder how often that's truly followed. It's too tempting if it's there!
