/c/TenFoward: Your home-away-from-home for all things Star Trek!

Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.

~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.

~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.

~ 3. Use spoiler tags. This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.

~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.

~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.

~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.

~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon'

~ 8. No Political Upheaval. Political commentary is allowed, but please keep discussions civil. Read here for our community's expectations.

Fun will now commence.

AKSHUALLY, LaForge doesn't view through the visor with his eyes, he has special implants that connect directly to his nervous system. It was these implants that allowed the Romulans to subvert him. Because Wesley does not have these implants, *nerd snort* this meme is factually incorrect and makes no sense

Your mom is factually incorrect and makes no sense.

[–] [email protected] 13 points 3 weeks ago

So's your face makes no sense!

No wait...

So's your face!

It feeds into those red dots on the sides of his head, right?

I don't think LaForge is religious

[–] [email protected] 14 points 3 weeks ago

But he does worship Dr. Brahms.

Thank you so much for randomly saying this. I'm not a native English speaker, but listening to an audio book where that expression is sometimes used. I never knew what the fuck temple meant in that context.

I actually thought it might be a euphemism for genitals, virginity, sacrifice at temple or something like that.

I finally understand, I am finally free.

Why he feeding data into his temporal lobe that needs to go to the occipital.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 weeks ago

Because it's second dual purpose is to hold the visor in place. It does it horribly considering how many times it was removed.

[–] [email protected] 109 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Saw right through that beard too.

[–] [email protected] 78 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Wait, does that imply the beard's fake, since it didn't see through other hair?

DS9 Season 3 Episode 9: Defiant

Because instead of just growing your beard out for a couple of days and trim it to be like Will Rikers, you plaster on some fake sideburns and hope nobody notices. Perfect strategy, I don't know how that would ever not work perfectly.

[–] [email protected] 12 points 3 weeks ago

To be fair, no one did notice… until he successfully stole the Defiant, at which point it didn’t matter any more.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

It could take a couple months to grow out a beard like that...but I thought they had a beam made hair grow or something.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

No. Way. Do you think Eddington had this hairline by choice?

Poor detective work, Javert.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

Actschually yes. Gene Roddenberry said that people in the future don't care about baldness the way we do. They have the option, it's probably just so inconsequential that people rarely do it.

Now for the very dark inference we can make here: Geordi had his visor on this setting while he was hanging out with Wesley.

Ironically, his nuts have the tattoo for what he yells when someone rings his office door.

Just "come".

[–] [email protected] 31 points 3 weeks ago

It’s too late; I’ve already seen everything.

[–] [email protected] 22 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

The episode where they actually show what Geordie sees through his visor now reminds me of what the world looks like through the pineal gland's 3rd eye in From Beyond.

It. ATE. Him.

[–] [email protected] 17 points 3 weeks ago

I love how Picard has a tattoo that says 'engage' down there.

[–] [email protected] 15 points 3 weeks ago

You're a man now, Wesley.

[–] [email protected] 13 points 3 weeks ago

"Joke's on you; I'm into that shit" -- Roddenberry, probably.

[–] [email protected] 11 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

And yet it still censors the naughty bits.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 3 weeks ago

You have to tell the computer to disengage safety protocols.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 3 weeks ago

Picard saying Engage every time hits different now

[–] [email protected] 5 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Is Beverly carrying a twentieth century clipboard?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Does he remain erect all the time?

[–] [email protected] 4 points 3 weeks ago

That's why they call it the "captain's log"
