I genuinely don't even sort of care.
But limited time is stupid as shit. You already did the tiny amount of work. It cost basically nothing. Why would you not just leave it?

I don’t get why people care about themes for their console homescreen at all. I see that screen for 3 seconds once every couple of weeks when I switch to a different game. Why would I care what it looks like? How much time do you spend on the home screen that you feel the need to customize it?
It changes the startup/shutdown animation and sound too plus having UI sounds changed. I use the PS2 theme which brings me memories.
I always put my PS5 in rest mode so I don’t see those very often either.
Please just let us keep them, the startup too!
Hearing those old PS2 noises fired off some old synapses and I cried.
It might be because I have no nostalgia for not using PlayStations before PS3 but I didn't notice a different startup sound.
You did not notice a new big ass all white screen with a rhombus in the middle and then fade to black saying PS 30th anniversary?
I just got a small UI tutorial at the bottom of the home screen after the login view
Edit I might've seen a glimpse of a splash screen just before TV picks up the signal
It's annoying. Instead of jumping into the game, I get the 'playstation 30th anniversary' splash for a few seconds each startup.
Creepy and invasive tbh
