My bonus was a little bigger than expected, so we're funneling that to help out some neighbors going through tough times. My SO has been wanting to help others for a few years, and we're finally in a position to do it w/o derailing our other financial goals.

We're planning to do it anonymously by leaving cash in an envelope or something, but I'm open to any ideas others might have. It's not going to be a ton of money, but we'll probably give about $1k across a few neighbors.

If you want it to be truly anonymous, make sure your neighbors don't have doorbell/security cameras first!

We're actually thinking of having some friends of ours make the drop, partially for this reason. So we'll prep the envelopes, and when our friends come over, ask them to drop it in their mailbox. Not perfect though.

Putting things in people's mailboxes is a federal crime. Don't do this.

If it's not yours and you're not a USPS employee, don't touch it.

We ended up having our friends deliver it to their door.
