If you are looking for actual opinions / discussions, then you may be misinformed or looking in the wrong place. IIRC, DankMemes, DankMicrowaveTaco, ~~DankVideos~~ Age of Mempire , and (I think) theDonald communities (subs) have special statuses in terms of what can be said/posted, since they are mostly for screwing around and/or posting memes (e.g. almost anything legal under free speech is fair game). Those subs probably have the highest number of users right now but also are probably the least good options for serious political convo.
I suppose you could always try to infer the political opinions of right-wingers based on memes if you chose to, but IMHO that endeavor seems likely to result in misunderstandings, inaccuracies, and bad assumptions. I would recommend looking at the communities list for this instance or maybe asking around in c/askexplodingheads.

But since I have posted a good chunk of the stuff you're referring to, I'll attempt to give a little more meat to the answer.
I have a pretty big meme collection that I've gathered over time (and continue to gather lol). I post stuff sporadically, usually in bursts of 5-10 pics at a time... most of my shitposting may or may not take place while I am literally taking a shit but I can neither confirm nor deny this.
However, I don't set out to exclusively post stuff about Trans despite what you seem to be thinking. I have plenty of posts memeing other topics like socialism, authoritarian regimes, Joe and Hunter Biden, censorship, how leftists like as a group tend to have a large number of individuals that claim to be more accepting / less racist but in actually are less accepting / more racist, and so on. As a rule of thumb, whenever I post multiple things at once, I try to post memes for at least a couple topics. But it's pretty random. One session, it might be an 80/20 split. Another, it might be 40/30/30 etc.
M Force's advice was actually pretty solid; I'll probably start exhausting my stockpile and post a larger number of memes about something else but still probably have the occasional meme about traps, pedos, groomers, mental illnesses, etc.
As he said, pride month just ended, so I have a FUCKTON of that stuff.

So if speaking out about stuff like that makes me a hater, then I don't care anymore.
So I don't like troons but it's more the politics than the people. And while I don't make most of the memes I post, I do enjoy them and feel no need to be apologetic about it.
If you really hate content like this, blocking me as a user should drastically cut down on posts but not eliminate it. You could also block the DankMemes sub to prevent showing up in your feeds.

The issue in my view was the move away from strongly moderated forums where your comment would get removed for the simplest of reasons towards the idea that online forums should be as unmoderated as humanly possible because of "freedom of speech". And the reason this happened was probably because big tech didn't want the effort that comes with moderating a community.

Umm...no, it does not. I think you may be confused on what free speech means. It means only that you are free to say whatever you want, unless otherwise specifically prohibited by law (e.g. yelling "fire" in a movie theater as a prank would not be protected).
There is NO stipulation whatsoever about WHAT someone will speak on, only what they CAN speak on.
And community rules are set by the community creators and can be more or less inclusive than those of the site as a whole. e.g. site as a whole does not allow some particular language in ALL communities but site owner has given ok on specific communities to have language that is not generally acceptable on the site. Likewise, any given community is free to decide that they want. Be that 100% free speech from all sides, only free speech that is prohibited elsewhere on the web, or whatever else.
So if a community mod wanted to make standards that where basically like reddit but for right-wingers, then they could do so.

I mean I get it, the defederation trend doesn't help this community grow, but if your whole position is an uncompromising and provoking attitude, I am asking myself once more what else you would expect the big instances to do.
Even from a pragmatic point of view, what admin would voluntarily say "oh yes, I would love to have more controversial memes on my server, that's always fun.". In reality, all this gets you is more people complaining about stuff on your server and/or a bigger moderation effort. You have to be pretty passionate about anti-trans memes in order to federate with a server like yours, or be a small enough server that not enough people care.
