I'm on X11 and have a nvidia graphics card. I tried installing new packages (some nvidia ones) in the software updater to resolve the problem, but it lead to both my screens not being recognized. After a reboot there were a couple errors, so I could not fully boot. Then I went into Recovery Mode and selected the "repair broken packages" options and then it started with everything working as expected So problem resolved, thanks anyway :D
Yes Nvidia sucks
Just for future reference, NVIDIA will work best with their proprietary driver over nouveau. Also, even with the proprietary drivers NVIDIA offers, it doesn’t play too well with Wayland if you decide to go that route.
