Hello, we would like to find out where our cousin, who recently started secondary school, is located. Additionally, we wish to set hourly restrictions on the apps they can access. Privacy is a concern when it comes to technologies created by large tech companies. Do you have any recommendations for Microsoft Family alternatives that prioritize maintaining privacy? Thank you.

Honestly if I had to do something like that I would think my best bet is Apple's Find My network combined with parental controls.

Your cousin who recently started secondary school deserves free and unfettered access to the internet like the rest of us. Just going off my own experiences as a former teenager, but privacy is probably a concern to them too. There's a 99% chance this is wholly unnecessary and unwarranted.

You are right about that. But the point is that we don't want to be brainwashed by computer games and social media (especially Tiktok). The location status was also to see if he was travelling to and from places we don't want without our knowledge.
